Jody Franklin, Visit El Dorado

Jody was born and raised in El Dorado County, CA in the tiny foothill town of Rescue. She received her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from San Diego State University and spent the next 20 years as a video producer in Placerville with her husband and daughter. Jody has held her current position as Executive Director of Tourism for the El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce since 2008. She loves to share her extensive knowledge of the region with its rich and colorful history, outdoor recreation, and family owned farms and wineries. Her enthusiasm for this place she calls home is infectious but not harmful.
